I come with 10 years experience with another school system in North Carolina an am looking forward to helping you become versed in the North Carolina standards.

- First quarter we will be learning about Chemistry. Please visit the Chemistry pages for additional information. All projects and power points will be uploaded to this site for you to review. Any handouts that are electronic will also be uploaded to the site.
Interim reports were sent home Monday, October 1, 2013: You were to sign and returned to me the next day for homework. If you have not seen it, please ask your child.
Homework is not being completed. This is becoming a problem with their not being able to participate during class because they have not done the work ahead of time or have not even looked at their science from the day before. Please help in making sure your student is completing all necessary work with all of their classes. Thank you

Interim reports will be sent home Friday, December 6, 2013.
2nd quarter Benchmarks will be given January 22, 2014: Topics included are: viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasite, epidemic, pandemic and biotechnology. Start studying for this test.
3rd quarter Benchmarks will be given April 15, 2014: Topics included are: Hydrosphere: freshwater %'s, Bio indicators of water, river basin components, marine food chains, ecosystems, carbon and nitrogen cycles, symbiotic relationships, energy through the ecosystem.
Interims from 4th quarter will be going home May 9th.
May 30th Science EOG. Students are working in class on review packets (see under EOG review tab). Students should be reviewing Essential vocabulary and also reviewing their vocabulary cards previously made in class or for homework.
